My porcelain “cloth” is comprised of casts of my body as well as the bodies of female friends and family.  Unlike ephemeral, perishable cloth, which will eventually be lost to decay, clay is able to function as a permanent record of these women and their experiences.  These fragments are draped and sewn together to show that we, as individuals, are mirrored back to ourselves by our communities. The connections are complex, delicate, precarious and unique to each installation—underscoring the power, and fragility, of our interconnectedness.
